Second Stop - The British Museum
British Museum Roof

From Kew Gardens I took the tube back to Hammersmith where I was to stay for the night and after dropping off my clothes at the hotel headed back into central London. this time I was heading for the British Museum.

Its one of Londons free attractions and I was particularly interested in the glass roof of the main hall after having seen a photograph previously. In fact this was all I was to stay for and found with the deep blue skies of that late autumn day the glass roof looked stunning. The sun was quite low in the sky and the warmth of the sun was shown in the stonework with dark shadows from the roof supports.

Note I rarely use a polariser and dread to think what colour the sky would have taken on in this photograph - something approaching purple I would think!
