Previous Visit- Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge at Night

I had visited London 4 years ago on returning to Sweden after series of business meetings in Swindon. I decided to stay the weekend in London, returning to Stockholm on the Sunday.

On the Friday evening I walked down to Tower Bridge from the Southbank and undertook some night-time photography. Exposure times were very long, up to 16 seconds on some shots - a tripod is a must!

Some of these photographs were shot in colour and converted to black and white in Photoshop. I think both versions work quite well in this subject matter.

Tower Bridge at Night

On-route to Tower Bridge I passed a church which was lit-up. In fornt of the church was a modern statue. The two photographs below were taken just before 9pm in August. An exposure of everal seconds was necessary to capture the lit-up church due to the necessity of using a small aperture to ensure that both the fore-ground and back-ground were in focus. A fill-in flash was used to highlight the statue.
